Woman suffers broken arm in suspected assault

    She was involved in a collision with a man on a skateboard

    Police are appealing for information following reports of an assault in Plymouth. 

    The victim, a 37-year-old woman from Plymouth, was stood at a pedestrian crossing when she was in collision with a man on a skateboard. She suffered a broken arm as a result of the incident and required surgery in hospital.  

    The incident was reported to have taken place at around 7.15pm on Friday 13 March on Pennycomequick Hill, Saltash Road. 

    The person on the skateboard may have also sustained some injury as a result of the incident. 

    Investigating officer, PC Paul Carswell said:

    “We’re appealing to anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us.  

    “At this time, we don’t have a description of the person on the skateboard but I would ask that if you think that person may be you, please contact us so that we can further our investigation.” 

    Police are appealing for anyone with information and anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police on 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting CR/023739/20.
