Volunteers needed to assist with flu jabs

Plymouth will see outdoor, undercover sessions in the city centre

Volunteers are being sought to assist with this year's flu jab campaign.

As COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines are making it unfeasible to carry out immunisations at the doctors surgery, organisers have had to come up with a more creative plan.

This year Plymouth will see outdoor, undercover sessions in the city centre and volunteers are required to assist patients in where to park, queue and leave the set up whilst ensuring that the required social distancing is maintained. Full training will be given to ensure volunteers, patients and medical staff are safe throughout.

The operation runs from October through to December and anyone interesting in volunteering for any of the shifts can register through the volunteer page at www.ourplymouth.co.uk
