Seventh coronavirus death confirmed in Plymouth

    They are among 569 further deaths recorded across the UK today

    Another person in Plymouth has sadly died from coronavirus.

    University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust confirmed the news this afternoon:

    "Sadly, we can confirm a further patient who had been cared for at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, and had tested positive for COVID-19, has died.

    "Their family has been informed and advised to follow national guidance.

    "Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time. Out of respect for their privacy we will not be commenting further."

    This brings the total number of deaths in our city up to seven.

    Another 569 have died after testing positive for COVID-19 in the UK - taking the total to 2-thousand-921.

    The increase is almost identical to the one recorded yesterday.
