Plymouth pub 'disappointed' after City Council erect fence which blocks waterfront view

    The Waterfront pub on Plymouth Hoe are worried it could destroy their trade

    A local pub has been left furious after Plymouth City Council installed a fence outside of their venue, blocking the view overlooking Plymouth Sound.

    The Waterfront have taken to Facebook to apologise for this and the noise coming from behind it.

    They say they were very excited to re-open on 4 July, only to discover a week later that the local authority would be putting up a 2.4 metre fence.

    The Waterfront say they are 'disappointed' and are concerned it could destroy trade and give them 'significant financial worries' through the winter.

    It is understood the fence is there to complete preparation work for a new statue.
