The 33-year-old will appear at Exeter Magistrates Court
A man has been charged in connection to a major incident in Ham Drive, Plymouth last weekend.
Officers were called to the scene, near to the Cherry Tree pub in Peverell at around 9.30am on Saturday (4 July), following reports that a man was making threats to emergency workers, while armed with a power tool.
33-year-old Philip Hogan has been charged with four counts of assaulting an emergency service worker and one count of affray and will appear at Exeter Magistrates Court today (7 July).
He was arrested following a 25-hour stand-off at the Peverell property. Armed officers, specialist negotiators and dog units attended, along with paramedics and firefighters.
Officers forced their way into the house at 10.30am on Sunday (5 July) and made an arrest.
