Man arrested following stabbing in Plymouth

    Police were called to a property in Alexandra Road yesterday afternoon

    A man is in police custody this morning (29 September) following a stabbing in Plymouth.

    Officers were called to Alexandra Road yesterday afternoon and the road was cordoned off for a number of hours whilst enquiries were carried out.

    The victim has been taken to hospital with what police have said are 'non-life-threatening injuries'.

    A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said:

    "Police were called at around 2.55pm yesterday afternoon with a report that a man had been stabbed inside a property on Alexandra Road, Plymouth.

    "A man was taken to hospital via ambulance with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

    "A 48-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent/GBH and resisting apprehension and is in police custody this morning."
