Events bring the ocean to our green spaces

17% of children in Plymouth have never been to the coast

Plymouth City Council wants to get families connected to the ocean by putting on a series of 'Sea in the Park' events.

17% of children in our city have never been to the beach or a coastal space.

The events aims to develop ocean connections in different communities, and to help children discover more about the marine life in Plymouth Sound.

Council leader, Tudor Evans, told us about the events:

They'll be visiting locations across the city, including Devonport Park, Central Park and Ernesettle Green.
