Armed Forces Day launch

    29 Commandos launch the annual event by abseiling down the Citadel.

    To launch this year's Plymouth Armed Forces Day, members of 29 Commando will be abseiling down the outside of the Citadel wall, carrying the Armed Forces Day flag.

    The flag will be presented to the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Sam Davey, by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Dornan RA.

    Also in attendance will be Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Pete Smith, representatives from all three armed forces, veterans, cadets and members of the Military Kids Club Heroes.

    Plymouth Armed Forces Day, in association with Babcock, will return to Plymouth Hoe on Saturday 29 June. More information about the event will be released on the day of the launch.
