Argyle player and staff member test positive for COVID-19

Their League One match on Saturday will still go ahead

Plymouth Argyle have confirmed that a player and staff member have tested positive for coronavirus.

The club chose to take an additional round of testing, following an outbreak at Leyton Orient, who the Pilgrims played in the Carabao Cup last week.

Both cases are asymptomatic and the individuals will now self-isolate.

The club has also informed their most recent opposition, AFC Wimbledon.

Saturday's League One fixture against Shrewsbury Town will go ahead as scheduled.
