Tavistock Rotary Club are proud to host an evening with Baz Gray.
Barry is a former Royal Marine of 26 years and has served all over the globe but most significantly in an extreme cold weather environment for many of those years and reaching the position of Royal Marine Mountain Leader Chief Instructor. During his many years of exploring and working globally in extreme conditions he has noticed many changes and also witnessed the devastating effects it is having on many communities now and many more in the future.
Baz Gray completed phase one of his Challenge Antarctica series in January 2019, with phase two planned for the next Antarctic summer in November 2019.
The second phase will be a 1,600-mile unsupported and unassisted trek across the entirety of the Antarctic continent, starting from the Bay of Whales.
Tavistock Rotary would like to thank Mount Kelly for providing the venue, and event sponsors GA Solicitors Plymouth and Hansford Bell, Financial Planners Tavistock
