EVENT: Adrenalin Rush

TIME: 9am

PLACE: Menheniot, Nr Liskeard

DETAILS: Adrenalin Rush is a heart thumping, adrenalin pumping, thrill seeking
challenge! Test your limits and get a natural high. Choose from...

1. Coasteering £20
You will experience 2-3 hours of wild swimming, jumping, climbing sheer cliffs and traversing rock faces.
Then jumping, no strings attached into a lake. Ages: 10+ (must be able to swim 50 metres unaided)

2. Zip Wire + Giant Swing £30
The UK’s longest and highest zip wire, which sends you zooming along at 40mph alongside your friend on the twin parallel wires, across the flooded depths of an old quarry. Then brace yourself for the giant swing, you’ll experience zero gravity as you’re hoisted to 80 then plunged over a lake. Age: 5 - 96 years

EVENT: Plymouth Half Marathon

TIME: 9am

PLACE: Plymouth Hoe

DETAILS: Need a new challenge for 2012? Why not run the Plymouth Half Marathon in aid of Jeremiah's Journey? A golden bond place is £33 and we ask runners to raise a minimum of £100. In return for this you will receive your very own Jeremiah's Journey running vest, a fundraising pack and lots of support!

FUTURE EVENT 20TH AUGUST

EVENT: UK Record Attempt Skydive

TIME: 9am

PLACE: Honiton

DETAILS: Skydive- Jump for Free* - UK record breaking attempt!

Be a part of St Luke’s skydive as we attempt to break the UK record for jumping the most amount of people in one day. We need over 160 jumpers to sign up and spread the word!

You will be securely harnessed to your Instructor as you take an aircraft up to 15,000ft above sea level (the highest in the world without O2), taking in views above one of the most scenic Drop Zones in the country. You will then jump taking in breath taking sights of the South and North Devon coastlines, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, the Bristol Channel and South Wales!

EVENT: Free Work Club Celebrates it's 1st Anniversary

TIME: 10am  – 12pm

PLACE: The William Venton Centre, Broadway Car Park.

DETAILS: Plymouth Age Concern* has been helping the over 50's with job searching and improving their employability skills since March 2011.


To mark this important milestone the Free Work Club, which is based at the William Venton Centre at the far end of the Broadway car park, is celebrating by inviting people to join them on Wednesday 29th February for a coffee and slice of Birthday cake. Visitors will also be treated to a visit by Virgin Vie.


The Free work Club gives the over 50's in Plymouth the chance to improve their job prospects by giving advice on interview techniques and compiling CV's as well as giving people the opportunity to meet new friends, build contacts and share job hunting experiences. Group members also have access to volunteering opportunities which is a great way for them to gain practical experience to take with them into the workplace.


The Work Club meets every Wednesday morning from 10am -12pm and everyone over 50 is welcome to attend these sessions.

EVENT: Devonport High School Boys becomes regional F1 champions

TIME: 6pm

PLACE: Devonport High School for Boys.

DETAILS: There is a celebration evening at Devonport High School for boys at 6pm on Wednesday 29th February. It is to celebrate the school becoming regional champions in F1 in schools with Vitesse and Team Oblivion. There will be a raffle with prizes from QPR, Panasonic, Devonshire and many more, refreshments and a chance to race the cars. Everyone is welcome!
