Colin Caley
I have lived in Plymouth now, on and off, for more than 30 years. I love the city so much, I came back after working in Scotland and Falmouth.
I was the editor of the local BBC's early morning version of the Today programme - maybe you remember Morning Sou'West. Both Douglas Mounce and David Rodgers worked on the show.
I moved to Scotland for eight years before getting the job at Falmouth College of Arts, training the next generation of broadcast journalists. Then came the chance to return to Plymouth, as a reporter and producer at ITV Westcountry on the Langage estate. The opportunity to be in at the beginning of Radio Plymouth was just too good to miss.
In my spare time, I have been working on publicity for the Plymouth Theatre Company - we just had a big success with "42nd Street" at the Devonport Playhouse and at the Theatre Royal. I also read for the blind at the Ivybridge Transcription Unit. I like walking, reading and swimming - especially when I get the chance to go snorkelling.
