South Devon's youth justice system is looking for volunteers to help young people plan their future after appearing in court.

The panels meet with the offender and sometimes the victim to try to agree the best way forward.

Anyone can join a panel as long as they are over eighteen and can spare a small amount of time to help.

The panel takes in people from the South Hams, Ivybridge and Teignbridge but not Plymouth as it has its own board.

Jacqui Wilcox has been a panel member in South Devon for six years - she says the hope is to give the young person a chance to turn things around and reduce the risk of reoffending.
