A Plymouth woman's been arrested in connection with a fatal accident on the A38 this morning.

The 57 year old woman is being questioned by police on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

At around 7 o clock this morning a motorbike and three cars were involved in a collision on the eastbound carriageway near the St Budeaux turnoff.

The motorcyclist, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The A38 was closed eastbound between St Budeaux and Manadon for eight hours and was reopened just before 3pm.
