Visitor plan aims to boost tourism in Plymouth

A new visitor plan launched by Plymouth city council this week aims to bring three hundred and fifteen million pounds into the city by 2020.

They also hope to create more high profile events in the city inculding an annual sail fest and more festivals based around the waterfront.

The idea is to create 2800 new jobs by 2020.

Earlier this week the city council also approved more than three million pounds of public money for the proposed new business improvement district on the Barbican.

The city council has said it's a good example of the public and private sector working together.
