Unions meet to 'co-ordinate' November strike

Unions from across the south west will gather in Plymouth today to co-ordinate a day of strike action in November.

A number of unions are balloting members on whether to strike over public sector pensions.

As many as 200,000 workers in the south west could take industrial action on November 30th if they vote in favour and the TUC needs to discuss how best to organise that.

The TUC's regional secretary, Nigel Costley, says this would be the biggest strike that Britain has seen for a generation.
