Trade unions gearing up for strike action

Trade unions in Plymouth have described public sector cuts as a disgrace and say they will fight them.

Unions say the cuts will affect everyone in the city, whether they're public or private sector workers.

Dozens of Plymothians took part in a protest over the weekend to defend local services and jobs.

Secretary of Plymouth's TUC, Tony Staunton, says previous demonstrations like the national protests in London have proven successful, but it's not enough.

Unions will be holding a day of strike action on the 30th of June.
