Tough outlook for Plymouth students

It's feared the financial squeeze could make this year even tougher for Plymouth students.

Thousands are due to arrive in the city this week to start their new university or college courses.

They're likely to face higher living and transport costs than ever before but many are thankful they're starting ahead of new higher tuition fees coming in next year.

The University of Plymouth and the College of Art are upping their fees to the maximum £9000 per year.

Many students told Radio Plymouth they have concerns about their job prospects, as well as how they will afford living costs.
