Torpoint bus services 'at risk' as cuts made

Cuts to council support for bus services on the Rame Peninsula could be devastating.

That's the claim of Gordon Edwards of Travelwatch South west.

It's after Cornwall Council announced it was cutting more than two million off its support for the county.

He says that could mean many services will be reduced or even removed altogether and that it will be students, pensioners and shoppers who are hit by the changes.

Residents are being encouraged to attend a public meeting at the Torpoint Community Clinic on Hooper Street at 1pm today, where Gordon Edwards will be the main speaker.
