Thousands set off on ten tors challenge

More than 2000 youngsters from across the south west have set off across Dartmoor on the annual Ten Tors event.

400 teams of six - aged from 14 to 19 - are taking part.

They've been training for months, gradually increasing the distance they walk and the weight of their bags.

Over the next two days, they'll walk either 35, 45 or 55 miles across some of the toughest terrain in England, unaided.

You can follow the teams' progress here.
