The Barbican Jazz and Blues Festival starts today

Organisers are hoping the royal wedding may attract more people down to the Barbican for the Jazz and Blues festival this weekend.

The festival is now in its 4th year and combines free music with a number of ticketed gigs.

Piano man TJ Hughes and the band Porkchop are amongst the headliners, while local singer Becca Langsford will be launching her new album.

As well as swing Sunday, there will also be a jazz parade on Monday.

Organisers say it also gives local retailers and pubs a boost.
