Summer Festival hailed as 'massive success'

For every pound spent on Plymouth's Summer Festival, ten pounds came back to the city.

That's according to the council after hundreds of thousands of extra visits were made because of events like Flavour Fest, the Fireworks Championships and the America's Cup.

It's thought to have been a boost to local shops in tough times.

Over 140,000 people visited Plymouth over the three days of Flavour Fest, tens of thousands more came here to see the fireworks and the America's Cup attracted people from all over the world.
