Reduced opening hours come into force at Devon libraries

Opening hours at some of Devon's libraries have been cut from today.

Tavistock, Ivybridge and Kingsbridge are amongst those affected.

It's part of Devon county council's plans to save £850,000.

From today, Ivybridge library will be closed completely on a Wednesday and closes an hour earlier on Mondays and Thursdays.

Chair of 'Friends of Ivybridge library' Kathy Stockwin says the reduced hours will mean full time workers will have limited access and will only be able to go on Saturday mornings.
