Psychiatric nurse accused of having relationship with patient

A woman who has worked as a psychiatric nurse in Plymouth has been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a patient.

Terena Coleman is accused of having the relationship between September 1996 and October 2008.

It's alleged that she had a sexual relationship with the patient, borrowed money from him and even allowed him to stay at her home on one occasion.

She is also accused of exchanging gifts with the patient, meeting him abroad and allowing him to pay money into her bank account.

The nursing and midwifery council will hold a misconduct hearing in London next week to decide whether Ms Coleman is fit to practise.

It's not known whether Ms Coleman still works in Plymouth.
