Campaigners against a traveller site in Efford say it's the location of it they are opposed to, not the people.

The city council has approved plans to set up three permanent sites in Plymouth and one of them would be in Military Road.

They already have planning permission but need to get government funding before they can go ahead, which could take up to eighteen months.

The Thames Garden Residents Association say it's not a case of 'not in my back yard' as they have lived alongside travelling showpeople in Efford for 35 years.

Gordon McKillop from the group says the location is unsafe for both the travellers and the local residents, as the road is too narrow.
