Policing's stepped up in Exeter for Argyle's visit

Police say they have a strategy in place for targeting hooligans at this afternoon's derby game between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City.

Hundreds of officers, including mounted police from South Wales, will be at St James Park.

The game has been given the highest risk rating for a policed football match.

The force is hoping to avoid a repeat of last november's cup game at Home Park, during which at least 20 people were arrested.

Chief inspector Peter Coppin-Harris is in charge of policing the match. He says supporters shouldn't be alarmed by the noticable presence of police officers, they should feel reassured.
