Plymouth soldier 'killed unlawfully'

An inquest has ruled that a Plymouth soldier who died on duty in Afghanistan was killed unlawfully.

Corporal Mark Palin of 1st Battalion the Rifles was killed by an improvised explosive device on July 18th 2011. 

He was leading a patrol in the Nahr-e-Saraj district of Helmand Province.

The 32 year old left behind his wife Carla, young son Lennon and an unborn baby girl.
