Plymouth business leaders write to Boundary Commission over planned constituency changes

Plymouth's business leaders are opposing proposed changes to the city's parliamentary constituencies.

The Boundary Commission's consultation on the plans to reduce the number of MPs has now closed.

But the Chamber of Commerce is just one organisation that disagrees with the plans 'in the strongest possible terms'.

They say they're most concerned about the proposed Tavistock and Plympton constituency, as it spans such a large and varied area - and argue Plymouth could be linked with places like Ivybridge instead, as a lot of commuters travel into the city from those areas.

The proposed Tavistock and Plympton seat would also include Moorview and Okehampton.
