Plymouth Argyle administrators to meet with city council

Plymouth Argyle's administrators are due to meet with the city council today to discuss the club's future.

The pilgrims went into administration on Friday after the taxman issued a winding up order against them in London over unpaid debts - by going into adminstration, the club prevented themselves being liquidated.

It means Brendan Guilfoyle is now in charge of the club and many local creditors will have lost their money.

There is currently no money to pay players or staff, but the administrators have said they are optimistic a buyer will be found.

The city council previously refused to buy the ground but has said it will work with stakeholders to try and ensure its survival.
