Plymouth Albion shareholders to meet with board over financial situation

Plymouth Albion players say they have been reassured that the club is still coping financially.

Director of rugby Pete Drewett left last week after one of the board of directors who had been underwriting his salary left the club.

Albion are now training with caretaker coaches and say they  believe they can avoid the relegation play off places.

Shareholders are meeting with the board to discuss the financial situation.

Despite speculation about whether the club will go into administration, players have been told there is no problem with paying their wages.
