Plymothians asked to have their say on how neighbourhoods should change

Local people are being encouraged to tell Plymouth city council how their neighbourhoods should be improved.

A series of public meetings will be held around the city over the next six weeks and special workshops will try to include young people too.

The local authority already has plans to build thousands of new homes in North Prospect over the next ten years and now councillors want to know how local people would like other areas to change and develop.

They may want to discuss parking, bus services or even the state of their local parks.

Nine workshop and drop-in events are being held throughout the city. They will be taking place on :

 

*     17 February, 9.30am to 5.30pm at Stoke Library covering the neighbourhoods of Stoke, Morice Town, Keyham and Ford

 

*     23 February 9am to 7pm at Crownhill Library covering the neighbourhoods of Crownhill Eggbuckland, Higher Compton, Hartley and Mannamead

 

*     23 February 9am to 7pm at Plympton Library covering the neighbourhoods of Woodford, Yealmpstone, Plympton St Maurice, Chaddlewood, Colebrook and Newnham

 

 

*     7 March 10am to 5.30pm at Estover Library covering the neighbourhoods of Widewell, Glenholt, Estover, Leigham and Mainstone and Derriford

 

*     9 March 10am to 6pm at the old North Prospect Primary School with displays also taking place on 7 and 11 March as office open for drop in sessions. This will cover the neighbourhoods of North Prospect, Ham, Beacon Park and Pennycross

 

*     14 March 2pm to 7pm at West Park Library covering the neighbourhoods of Ernesettle, Whitleigh, Honicknowle, Manadon, Tamerton Foliot and Southway

 

*     15 March 9am to 7pm at St Budeaux Library covering the neighbourhoods of Barne Barton, St Budeaux, Kings Tamerton and Weston Mill

 

*     23 March 9am to 7pm at Plymstock Library covering the neighbourhoods of Plymstock (not North Plymstock), Elburton, Goosewell, Turnchapel, Hooe and Oreston

 

*     29 March 10am to 5.30pm at Efford Library covering the neighbourhoods of  Peverell, Mutley/Greenbank, Mount Gould and Efford, Lipson and Laira
