Six staff at a Plympton play group will only get a redundancy pay out if they are able to sell off significant amounts of their furniture.

The Rees play group on the Ridgeway closed in July because of falling numbers.

They were then unable to recruit enough people to the charity's committee and cannot continue to operate under OFSTED rules.

Some of the staff had been working there for as long as twenty years and say it's been a tough few months.

They are selling off play equipment, cooking sets and even dressing up clothes on the Ridgeway between 9:30am and 2:30pm today.
