New directors needed for Argyle, says Ridsdale

Plymouth Argyle's acting chairman has said a fresh group at the helm could be exactly what the club needs.

The former board of directors, including Tony Campbell and Paul Stapleton, have had their powers suspended since the club went into administration last week.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has given prospective bidders until noon on Monday to register their interest - the club could still be liquidated if it doesn't secure significant funds by March 17th.

A charity auction is to be held on March 24th with Peter Reid's 1986 FA cup medal up for grabs to raise some money.

Acting chairman Peter Ridsdale says the future club line up isn't up to him but he believes the fans are calling for change.
