More school places needed in Plymouth

Plymouth is going to need extra classrooms and teachers over the next decade to cope with a boom in school age children.

Government cash is being put aside to cope with issue across the country and the city council meets today to discuss how to use it.

There's been a significant increase in birth rates across the country.

Programme director for the learning environment, Gareth Simmonds, says they have been getting ready for the boom for some time.
