Major roadworks haven't had impact on business, says Saltash businessman

A Saltash businessman says the resurfacing works on the Tamar Bridge haven't had much of an impact on the area at all.

It's week two of the five week project, which will cost half a million pounds to complete. The cost will be covered by the takings at the toll booths.

Some motorists have reported severe delays on the bridge as the main deck is down to one lane, although the cantilever lanes are also carrying traffic.

But Steve Brown who owns the butchers on Fore Street in Saltash says people should know to be prepared for delays as it's nothing new on the Tamar Bridge.
