Major resurfacing work due to take place on Tamar Bridge

The Tamar Bridge will be down to one lane on the main deck for around five weeks from September 19th.

It's due to major resurfacing works on the Plymouth side.

The Tamar Bridge and Torpoint ferry committee say temporary repairs are no longer practical.

To ease traffic flow, the foot and cycle path will be used to take Cornwall bound traffic and the north cantilever lane will take traffic from the Saltash tunnel and Saltash town.

A shuttle bus will be laid on to take pedestrians and cyclists across the bridge.
