Plymothians are being encouraged to make the most of the city's natural spaces.

It comes as national love our parks week begins, which aims to raise awareness of parks and open spaces and the role they have within the local community.

Volunteer groups, charities and the city council have organised a number of events over the summer - to encourage people to explore Plymouth's green and blue spaces.

Over a third of Plymouth is green space and it's claimed many locals don't realise how much of it they can use.
