Last commercial flight departs from Plymouth

Instructors at Plymouth's flying school say they're deeply frustrated by the lack of information they've been given about the future of the airport.

Today could be the last day that commercial flights operate from Plymouth.

Air South west is due to pull out of the airport from mid september and has chosen to suspend flights for a month from tomorrow.

The airport will close in December anyway unless a new operator can be found.

The flying school says it will look for new premises if the airport shuts down completely, but needs to know what's going to happen.

Sutton Harbour holdings has said it can't make a decision on whether the airport will close early until it has seen an economic report on its viability, due to be published in the next few weeks.
