Job cuts at Plymouth Argyle

Sixteen people have been made redundant at Plymouth Argyle.

It was revealed yesterday that the centre spot shop in Drake Circus is to close and that a number of office staff had also lost their jobs.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has already appointed Peter Ridsdale as acting chairman and has appealed for former directors and supporters to provide any funding they can.

Fans are being urged to turn out for tonight's game against Swindon and season ticket holders have also been asked to make a voluntary donation of ten pounds.
