Inquest begins into death of Plymouth teenager

An inquest into the sudden death of a Plymouth teenager's due to begin today.

 

Rob Aitken had been at the KFC restaurant on Wolseley Road with friends when he suddenly collapsed in October.

Paramedics were called to the scene on the evening of the 9th of October and Rob was taken to Derriford hospital, where he died a short while later.

A police investigation was launched but found no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fourteen year old's death.

The coroner's office said at the time that there was no 'preliminary cause of death.'

Hundreds of people paid tribute to the teenager, who had been a pupil at Coombe Dean school.

An inquest into Rob's death will begin later today.
