Homeless get Christmas dinner

Some of Plymouth's homeless people will be served Christmas dinner tomorrow by volunteers from Mutley baptist church.

A small group will spend Christmas day together - others will be given food hampers and woolly hats and scarves.

The city council say there are around 18 rough sleepers in Plymouth - but many more are considered 'homeless' as they have no fixed address.

Sonia's one of them - she's been battling with alcohol and drug addiction for years but has been sober for the past 14 months. She says she used to get drunk at Christmas to block out how lonely she felt but has  been sober for the last two Christmasses which she's spent at Gaffers Gorge, which is run by volunteers from the church.
