Two of Plymouth's outdoor swimming pools will open for the summer from today - and using them will be free.

The council's scrapped the entrance fee to Tinside and Mount Wise to encourage more people to use them.

Both pools will be open until 6pm every day throughout the summer. They will open at midday on weekdays during term time and 10am during school holidays and at weekends.

Council leader Vivien Pengelly says they decided to waver the fee to get the city's teenagers off the streets and give them something to do.
