The amount of time people can park at Derriford hospital for free is being reduced from 45 minutes to 15.

Hospital bosses say it's to allow people to drop off patients - not for those with appointments booked.

It's one of a number of propsals agreed by the health scrutiny committee yesterday, including installing signage to show where the free spaces are in the car parks.

The hospital says the changes will allow them to freeze parking charges.

Bosses say the system is being abused, but some patients argue fifteen minutes is just not enough to help someone into the hospital.
