Former bidder launches private investigation into Argyle administration process

A South East councillor who bid to buy Plymouth Argyle has employed private investigators to look into the administration process at the club.

Paul Buttivant says he's disgruntled with the whole process and isn't satisfied with the reasons he was given when his bid was rejected.

The club's administrator says Buttivant never proved he had the funds to seal the deal.

Meanwhile Plymouth Argyle's administrator and acting chairman have now signed a sale and purchase agreement for the club.....but they are still awaiting a signature from the preferred bidder.

Talks continued last night and the contract is now with Bishop International's lawyers.

Ina statement, the administrator says he can't give a date for the completion of the deal, but that they are hoping it will gain approval from the footall league  by the start of the new season.
