Football fans unite in support of Argyle's fight for survival

Thousands of football fans from all over the country are expected to descend on Home Park this weekend in support of Plymouth Argyle's battle for survival.

It's been another eventful week for the club - Peter Reid parted ways with the Pilgrims on Sunday.

He's been replaced by skipper Carl Fletcher, who's taken on the role of 'caretaker manager' alongside goalkeeper Romain Larrieu as first-team coach.

Prospective buyer James Brent will be at tomorrow's game against Macclesfield - he'll be watching with the fans from the Devonport end.

It's hoped a takeover deal will be completed by the end of next week - and chair of the fans' trust Chris Webb says Mr Brent's main priority is to pay the staff, who haven't been paid in full since December last year.
