Final preparations underway for 3 Commando Brigade parade

Around two thousand marines and gunners are making final preparations for their march through Plymouth city centre tomorrow.

Members of 42, 30 and 29 commando will take part along with marines and gunners from 3 commando brigade headquarters.

The march marks their return from a six month deployment to Afghanistan in which seven marines from 42 commando lost their lives.

Before the parade, there will be a remembrance service on the Hoe and 30 commando will receive their Afghanistan medals.

There will be a number of road closures in place between 9:30am and 1pm tomorrow.
