Fans Trust claim new bids have been made for Argyle takeover

The fans' trust is claiming Plymouth Argyle's administrators are inviting new bids.

The deal with Bishop international still hasn't been signed, or ratified by the football league, though a committee is due to discuss the bid today.

According to the fans' trust, Devon businessman James Brent, who was in the running to buy the club earlier in the year, has submitted a new bid.

Chair of the fans' trust is Chris Webb says the football club is on the brink and is calling for fans to get behind Mr Brent's bid, who he says has been honest and open with fans throughout the process.

James Brent has been unavailable for comment. Lead administrator Brendan Guilfoyle and his firm the P&A Partnership have refused to comment.
