Fans question Argyle administrator at packed meeting

It's hoped that a deal with a Gibraltar based firm to buy Plymouth Argyle will be signed by July 4th.

Last night hundreds of fans packed into the Guildhall to question the administrator, acting chairman Peter Ridsdale and city council leader Vivien Pengelly about the current situation.

A second payment has now been made to the club by the firm Bishop International.

It was also confirmed that Truro city chair Kevin Heaney will have a financial stake in the ground and property side of the development, while Peter Ridsdale will own the football club.

Peter Ridsdale reiterated that he had no desire to own the club, but that it was the only way a deal could go through - he says he also takes on the financial liabilities of the club if it fails.

A representative of the consortium failed to turn up.
