Fans await news from James Brent on whether he will buy Plymouth Argyle

Some Plymouth Argyle fans have described Devon businessman James Brent as their 'saviour'.

Players and staff have deferred their wages again as the wait continues for a takeover deal to be completed.

Key players threatened to go on strike earlier this month when asked to sign a waiver - but have agreed this time round in the hope the club can be saved.

The administrators say the bid from former preferred bidders Bishop International is still on the table, along with Paul Buttivant's.

But Radio Plymouth understands Mr Brent's bid is edging closer to completion.
