Argyle staff are due to be paid today but any deal with local businessman James Brent is unlikely to be completed for a couple of weeks.

It appears that James Brent's bid is close to completion, although there has been no official confirmation from the administrator.

It's not known whether revenue from the gates at Saturday's Macclesfield game could be used to pay staff a proportion of their wages.

The game was Argyle's first victory this season but they still sit at the bottom of league two.

Lee Jameson from the Fans' Trust says he's convinced that James Brent will do all he can to give the staff their wages.
